Cornelius Terrell Johnson Jr. was a 24-year-old father from Little Rock, Arkansas. He was known to some by the nickname "2 BOOMA" and was remembered by loved ones after his death.

In the early morning hours of Saturday, September 9, 2023, a shooting tragically ended Johnson's life. At approximately 1:25 a.m., officers with the Little Rock Police Department responded to a call at 3200 Coleman Place, an apartment complex at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. When they arrived, they found Johnson, a Black man, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Emergency responders transported Johnson to a local hospital for medical care. Despite efforts to save his life, he succumbed to his injuries a short time later. Homicide detectives were called to the scene and launched a full investigation into his death.

The investigation led police to identify a suspect. On September 10, 2023, the day after the shooting, the Little Rock Police Department announced that they had taken 19-year-old Donte Blackmon into custody.
