On January 15, 2019, Justin Foster, a 31-year-old resident of Bauxite, Arkansas, was fatally shot during an altercation at La Michoacana, an ice cream shop located in the 5400 block of Baseline Road in Little Rock. The incident began when Foster and another man, identified as 39-year-old Ahmad Salaam, engaged in a struggle over a firearm inside the establishment.
