On a Saturday night in Little Rock, Arkansas, tragedy struck 21-year-old Laron Ware. On June 14, 2014, gun violence erupted on the 7500 block of Geyer Springs Road, leading to Ware's untimely death.
The evening's events began to unfold around 7:46 p.m. when Little Rock Police responded to a shooting at the Willow Creek Apartments. There, they discovered a man on the ground with injuries.
Witnesses at the scene reported that the man had been shot by five men who fled in a silver vehicle.
A short time later, police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Geyer Springs Road and 59th Street, pulling over a vehicle that matched the description provided by witnesses. Inside the car were five men, one of whom was Laron Ware, who was suffering from gunshot wounds.
Ware was transported to a local hospital for treatment, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. In the immediate aftermath of the incident, law enforcement officials interviewed all individuals involved in the shooting, as well as any witnesses. Following the interviews, all parties were released, and no immediate arrests were made in connection with Ware's death. The condition of the first man found injured at the apartment complex was not disclosed by the police.
