On a Sunday in September 2023, Hall was at a residence on South Grant Street when he was fatally shot. In the days following the shooting, a suspect was identified and apprehended. Brandon Huff, 22 years old, surrendered to authorities and was subsequently charged in connection with Aaron Hall's death. The charges brought against Huff included first-degree murder, possession of firearms by certain persons, and discharging a firearm within the city. He was taken into custody and held at the Lonoke County jail without bond.
