On September 11, 2022, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Blytheville Police responded to a shooting incident at a residence in the 600 block of North Tennessee Street. Upon arrival, they found 37-year-old James Franklin "Frankie" Brehm and 35-year-old Elizabeth Alvarado suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to Great River Medical Center, where Brehm succumbed to his injuries. Alvarado was later transferred to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis for further treatment.
