In the heart of Waterloo, Iowa, a Saturday afternoon turned tragic, forever altering the lives of those connected to Muharrum Quan Johnson. On September 2, 2023, the 45-year-old Black / African American man was found the victim of a fatal shooting in the downtown area, near the intersection of East 4th and Mulberry Streets.
