In the early morning hours of March 22, 2022, the life of 41-year-old LaVance Cooper, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Waterloo, Iowa. The incident unfolded at an apartment located at 627 West 2nd Street, where police were dispatched shortly after 4 a.m. to respond to reports of a shooting.
