Cedrick D. Hood, a 26-year-old Black/African American man from Clinton, Iowa, was killed on the evening of December 3, 2020, in a shooting outside the Hop-N-Shop convenience store at 716 South Fourth Street. Shortly before 6:15 p.m., Hood arrived at the store in a Saturn Outlook with a woman and her son.
