On the night of July 6, 2020, Saul DeVaughn Jackson, a 29-year-old man, was shot and killed in Clinton, Iowa. The Clinton Police Department responded to a report of gunfire at a residence in the 300 block of 2nd Avenue North at approximately 11:26 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Jackson with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, MercyOne Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
