In the early morning hours of August 22, 2018, the quiet of a Tucson, Arizona park was broken by the discovery of a young man's body, leading to a homicide investigation that continues to seek answers. Thirty-year-old Derrick J. Lee, a Black/African American male, was found unresponsive on the ground at Mariposa Park after a 911 call was placed around 5:45 a.m. When Tucson Police officers arrived at the park, located near the intersection of Aviation Drive and Third Street, they found Lee with e ...
