Alexander Luis Cruz Perez, a 19-year-old Hispanic male, was fatally shot on the night of September 19, 2019, in Phoenix, Arizona. The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. in the parking lot of an apartment complex near 30th and E. Fillmore streets. When Phoenix police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered three individuals with gunshot wounds.
Tragically, two of the men, including Alexander Luis Cruz Perez, succumbed to their injuries.
The initial reports from law enforcement indicated the deceased were 20 and 22 years old, creating a slight discrepancy with other sources that state Perez was 19. The third victim, a 17-year-old male, was transported to a nearby hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.
