On April 5, 2014, a fatal shooting occurred at neighboring house parties in the 5400 block of West Palm Lane in west Phoenix. The incident involved an altercation between individuals from two separate parties, which escalated when one person retrieved a handgun and fired multiple shots outside the homes.
