In a quiet Glendale, Arizona neighborhood, a tragic event unfolded that cut short the life of 85-year-old Pearl Mary Merenyi. On a Friday afternoon in January 2018, police received a distressing 911 call from a woman reporting a shooting at a residence near 49th and Peoria avenues. The caller informed authorities that a man had shot his mother-in-law before turning the gun on himself.
