On February 12, 2016, a tragic incident occurred at Independence High School in Glendale, Arizona, resulting in the deaths of two 15-year-old girls, May Kieu and Dorothy Dutiel. Both girls were sophomores at the school and were identified as being in a close relationship, with investigators noting that they appeared to be in a romantic relationship as well.
