In the early afternoon of a seemingly ordinary weekday, a tragic discovery shattered the quiet of a north Phoenix apartment complex. On November 5, 2025, a call reporting a possible dead body led officers to an apartment in the 16600 block of North 43rd Avenue. Inside, they found 33-year-old Elizabeth Powell, a female who had been fatally shot. Despite any potential life-saving efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
