In the afternoon sun of September 6, 2020, Gabriel Lopez-Felix, a 43-year-old male, was shot and killed in Phoenix, Arizona. He was discovered inside his black Chevrolet Silverado in a parking lot in the vicinity of 43rd and Clarendon avenues. Around 1:30 p.m., Phoenix Police officers were dispatched to the area after receiving reports of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, they found Lopez-Felix in his vehicle with a gunshot wound.
He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The circumstances that led to the shooting remain unclear to investigators.
In the immediate aftermath of the incident, a dark gray 2008-2012 Nissan Altima was seen leaving the area. However, authorities have not been able to identify a suspect, and no arrests have been made in the case.
