Police have released the name of the 7-month-old boy who died Friday afternoon after he was found inside a hot car in northeast Phoenix.

Zane Endress was discovered not breathing at about 4 p.m. inside a vehicle parked on the 4500 block of East Monte Cristo, near 44th Street and Greenway Road.

The boy was in the care of his grandparents at the time of the incident, Phoenix police reported Saturday morning.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
