On June 8, 2022, around 8:30 p.m., a fatal shooting occurred in north Phoenix near the intersection of Black Canyon Highway (Interstate 17) and Bell Road. The victim, 25-year-old Torry Taylor, was involved in a brief verbal dispute with another man in the area. During this confrontation, one of the individuals pulled out a gun and shot Taylor.
