In the late hours of a Friday evening in Phoenix, Arizona, a dispute escalated into a fatal encounter that ended the life of Ramon Patino. On September 17, 2021, the 39-year-old Hispanic man was involved in a verbal argument with two other men. The confrontation took a tragic turn when Patino was shot. The incident occurred at approximately 10:05 p.m.
in the area of 1700 West Atlanta Avenue.
Following the shooting, the two male suspects fled the scene on foot and have yet to be identified. Phoenix police have described the suspects as two Hispanic males. First responders arrived at the scene to find Patino with a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The Phoenix Police Department is actively investigating the shooting as a homicide. In an effort to gather more information, a reward of up to $2,000 is being offered by the Silent Witness program for any tips that lead to an arrest in the case. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the two suspects remain at large.
