On the evening of October 16, 2020, a tragic drive-by shooting occurred near Dobson and Guadalupe Roads in Mesa, Arizona. Families were gathered around food trucks for dinner when a vehicle, described as a white or silver Kia Soul or a similar box-type SUV, stopped in the middle of the street and opened fire toward the crowd. In response, one of the food vendors returned fire at the suspect's car, which then fled westbound on Guadalupe Road.
