On the evening of March 7, 2023, a violent encounter in Mesa, Arizona, claimed the life of 44-year-old Jacques Bourdeau. A White man, Bourdeau was at a residence in the area of 600 South Essex Lane when the events that led to his death began to unfold. Earlier in the evening, he had been in contact via phone with a 19-year-old acquaintance, Elliot Bennett.
