This second individual attempted to drive away from the scene but crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of Broadway and Shannon. He was subsequently transported to Banner University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Santamaria Aguirre, a male, was taken to St. Mary's Hospital by a private vehicle with multiple occupants, but he was pronounced deceased shortly after his arrival.

He was born on March 27, 2004, and his sudden death left a profound void in the lives of his parents and siblings.
