On March 6, 2021, Anthony Watkins, a 35-year-old resident of Tucson, Arizona, was fatally shot at an apartment complex located at 7450 E. 22nd St. The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. when Tucson Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Watkins at the rear of the complex suffering from obvious signs of gunshot trauma. Despite efforts by officers and Tucson Fire Medics to render aid, Watkins was pronounced deceased at the scene.
