Corina Ann Leyva, a 41-year-old mother of six, was killed in Phoenix, Arizona. On July 3, 2021, around 4 a.m., she was with her boyfriend, Guillermo Diaz, when a gun was fired, killing her instantly. Leyva was found deceased with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.
Initially, Diaz claimed that Leyva had taken her own life. However, following an investigation by the Phoenix Police Department, he was arrested in connection with her death.
Diaz faces a murder charge for the fatal shooting of his girlfriend.
Corina was described as a loving mother to six children, a younger sister to three siblings, and a daughter. Her family organized a fundraiser to cover her funeral and family expenses, remembering her as 'Reina'.
