On the evening of August 5, 2021, a verbal confrontation inside a home on East Sundew Drive in Tucson, Arizona, escalated into a tragedy that claimed two lives. Jamarr Edward Jones, a 34-year-old Black / African American male, was fatally shot and died at the scene. Another victim, 13-year-old Avointae T. Sices, was critically injured and succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to a local hospital.
