Clay Ray Crudup, a 32-year-old resident of North Charleston, South Carolina, was tragically killed on September 1, 2016. The incident occurred near the Gethsemane Community Center at the intersection of Arbutus Avenue and Cosmopolitan Avenue during Tropical Storm Julia. Officers from the North Charleston Police Department responded to the scene around 9:30 p.m. and found Crudup on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
