In the late hours of a Wednesday evening, the relative peace of Mission Manor Park in Tucson, Arizona, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. On June 7, 2017, 26-year-old Guillermo Ortiz-Morales, a Hispanic male, was at the park when a verbal dispute erupted with an unknown man. The argument escalated tragically, ending with the man producing a handgun and opening fire. Both Ortiz-Morales and another young man, 20-year-old Roman Nieto, were struck by the bullets.
