In the winter of 2023, the life of 15-year-old Carlos Alberto Luque-Cadena was cut short in Tucson, Arizona. The young Hispanic male was fatally shot on the evening of Saturday, January 28th, behind a Walmart located on Wetmore Road. The incident unfolded during a physical altercation, the details of which remain part of an ongoing investigation.
Just days before his own demise, Carlos had been identified by law enforcement as a participant in a separate homicide that resulted in the
death of 32-year-old Terrance R. Ross. However, before he could be formally charged in connection with that case, Carlos himself became a victim of gun violence.
In the aftermath of the shooting, the Tucson Police Department launched an investigation into Carlos's death. Authorities have released images of armed individuals who may be connected to the fatal altercation and are seeking the public's assistance in identifying them. To date, no arrests have been made in the case, and no specific suspects have been publicly named.
