In the early morning hours of February 15, 2025, a violent altercation in Tucson, Arizona, claimed the life of 32-year-old Eduardo Reyes. Responding to reports of a shooting shortly after 1:00 a.m. near the intersection of West 44th Street and South 10th Avenue, Tucson police officers discovered a chaotic scene. Reyes and an adult female were found in the roadway, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical aid was rendered at the scene by the officers until the arrival of the
Tucson Fire Department. Despite their efforts, Eduardo Reyes was pronounced dead at the location. The female victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. The extent of her injuries and her current condition have not been publicly disclosed.
As the investigation into the shooting commenced, homicide detectives learned that Reyes and another male had been involved in an altercation with a 23-year-old male. During this confrontation, shots were fired, resulting in the fatal wounding of Reyes and injuries to the female bystander.
