In the early evening of October 20, 2021, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of a Phoenix, Arizona neighborhood. Responding to a shooting call around 6:15 p.m. near 67th Avenue and Campbell Avenue, police officers discovered a man lying outside a residence with a critical gunshot wound. The man was identified as 31-year-old Alfonso Holguin. He was rushed to a local hospital in a desperate attempt to save his life, but his injuries proved too severe, and he was pronounced deceased.
