On October 8, 2024, around 2:45 p.m., the Phoenix Police Department responded to a report of an injured person in the area of 24th and Van Buren streets in central Phoenix. Upon arrival, officers found 44-year-old Anthony Garrison suffering from at least one gunshot wound in a hotel room located at 2400 East Van Buren Street.
