In the early morning hours of April 28, 2023, the life of Viorel Botos, a 38-year-old White/Caucasian male, was tragically cut short in Phoenix, Arizona. Phoenix police responded to a call shortly before 5:00 a.m. near 2700 East Marconi Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Botos suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation into the shooting quickly pointed to a suspect, 49-year-old Ruben
Silva. Silva had fled the location before law enforcement arrived. Phoenix homicide detectives took charge of the case, seeking information from the public to aid in their search for the person responsible for Mr. Botos's death.
After weeks of investigation, authorities located and apprehended Ruben Silva on May 22, 2023. He was subsequently taken into custody and booked on several charges, including murder, in connection with the fatal shooting of Viorel Botos.
