On April 28, 2023, Viorel Botos, a 38-year-old man, was fatally shot in Phoenix, Arizona. The incident occurred near 2700 East Marconi Avenue, close to the intersection of State Route 51 and Greenway Road. Phoenix police officers responded to an unknown trouble call just before 5:00 a.m. and found Botos suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite their efforts, Botos was pronounced deceased at the scene.
