In a south Phoenix neighborhood, the life of 35-year-old Milton Forest Ayers III was cut short by an act of gun violence on the afternoon of Sunday, March 10, 2024. The fatal encounter occurred around 4:10 p.m. in the vicinity of 1700 W. Wayland Drive. Ayers was discovered lying on the ground, having sustained gunshot wounds.
Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene. The Phoenix Fire Department provided immediate medical attention and transported Ayers to a local hospital.
