In the late evening hours of September 17, 2024, the life of 25-year-old Damian Lee Marler was tragically cut short in Phoenix, Arizona. A male of White / Caucasian descent with ties to the Honágháahnii of the Navajo Nation, he was fatally wounded in an act of gun violence. The incident occurred near a residence in the vicinity of 26th Place and Monte Vista Road, where Phoenix police officers responded to a call regarding a shooting at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Upon their arrival at the
scene, law enforcement discovered Marler with at least one gunshot wound. Despite immediate attention, his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced deceased at the location. The Phoenix Police Department's homicide detectives promptly took charge of the investigation, which remains an active and ongoing case.
