In the autumn of 2018, the life of 22-year-old Delano Marquise Mathis, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Phoenix, Arizona. On the evening of October 25, 2018, a violent encounter involving gunfire erupted near Sky Harbor Airport, claiming the lives of Delano and another man, 47-year-old Perry Sueing.
