In Phoenix, Arizona, a gathering to watch the Mayweather-Pacquiao boxing match on the night of May 2, 2015, ended in tragedy with the death of 24-year-old Erasmo Gonzales, a Hispanic male. Gonzales and his family were hosting the party at their home located near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road. His 22-year-old girlfriend, Marylin Alvarez, became upset when Gonzales left the house with his cousin to go to a Jack-in-the-Box after the fight.
