The incident unfolded just before 5:00 a.m. outside of a club located near 3000 West Clarendon Avenue. Carter was discovered at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel from the Phoenix Fire Department provided immediate aid and transported her to a local hospital.
