On May 4, 2022, Martha Adrianna Alejo, a 32-year-old mother, was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting in Phoenix, Arizona. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. near the intersection of 7th Avenue and Pima Road, where Alejo was standing in line with her pre-teen son, waiting for food outside Liyuen Chinese Food.
