In a tragic incident that cut a young life short, 16-year-old Kinesha Joy Hill of Carrizo, Arizona, died on June 21, 2020. The fatal event took place at a residence in North Phoenix, near the intersection of 19th and Peoria Avenues. Kinesha, who was born on July 20, 2003, was remembered as a person who was always happy and held no animosity in her heart.
On that Sunday night, just after 10 p.m., a firearm incident led to Kinesha being struck by a bullet.
She was immediately transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Kinesha succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
In the wake of the shooting, the Phoenix Police Department launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the event. The investigation revealed that a 16-year-old male was handling a firearm when it discharged, leading to the fatal wound that killed Kinesha Hill. The teenage boy was subsequently arrested in connection with her death.
