On December 11, 2014, 19-year-old Khalli Lawrence was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the back of her head on a hiking trail in Phoenix, Arizona. Her 2-month-old daughter was also present, suffering from a gunshot wound to her thigh. Lawrence was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries. The infant received medical treatment and was expected to survive.
