On November 8, 2021, a tragic incident occurred at an apartment complex in north Phoenix, Arizona, resulting in the deaths of 28-year-old Trystan Benallie and 23-year-old Martin Louis. The incident began when Steven Love-Mason, who had a previous relationship with Benallie, arrived at her apartment. Love-Mason asked a neighbor to knock on the door, and when it opened, he forced his way into the residence and shot both Benallie and Louis, who were later pronounced deceased.
