On January 5, 2021, 39-year-old Jessica Kennedy was found dead at an apartment near 35th Avenue and Bell Road in North Phoenix. Police officers responding to welfare check calls discovered her body with a gunshot wound to the head, but no weapon was recovered from the scene.
