In the waning hours of Halloween evening, a domestic dispute in a west Phoenix home escalated into a tragedy that claimed the life of 50-year-old Shondra Lynn Pregler. On October 31, 2025, Phoenix police responded to a call about a shooting at a residence near 91st Avenue and Indianola Avenue at approximately 5:12 p.m. Upon entering the home, officers discovered both Shondra and her 55-year-old husband, David Theodore Pregler, suffering from critical gunshot wounds.
