In the winter of 2015, a senseless act of violence cut short the life of 16-year-old Niani Rayshawn Allen, a Black female and a junior at Cesar Chavez High School in Phoenix, Arizona. On the night of February 20th, what began as a dispute at a high school basketball game escalated into a tragedy that would forever alter the lives of two families. Allen was a passenger in a sedan when another vehicle, an SUV, began to follow them from the school's parking lot.
