Phoenix police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found on Christmas Day as a possible homicide.

Candy Salazar, 33, was found dead in an alley near Central and West St. Catherine avenues Monday, police said.

Officers responded to the area around 7:15 p.m. for an unknown trouble call, Phoenix police said. When officers arrived, they found Salazar dead of trauma, police said.
