In the late evening of August 27, 2024, a dispute at a gas station in Midtown Tucson escalated into a fatal encounter for Ryan Edward Brean. The 43-year-old White / Caucasian male was found by police behind the business at 5151 E. Speedway Blvd. just after 8:10 p.m., suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate life-saving efforts of the responding officers and medics from the Tucson Fire Department, Brean was pronounced deceased at the scene.
