In the spring of 2016, a young Black / African American man's life was cut short in a burst of violence that highlighted the ongoing struggles with gang activity in Omaha, Nebraska. Terrance Gunn, a 22-year-old remembered for his engaging personality and warm smile, was fatally shot on May 15, 2016.
