In the early morning hours of August 12, 2018, a Sunday, events unfolded at an Omaha, Nebraska gas station that would end the life of 27-year-old Andrew Peek, a White male. Officers were dispatched to the scene around 6 a.m. following a report of shots being fired. Upon their arrival, they discovered Peek lying between the gas pumps, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the Nebraska Medical Center, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
