On a tragic Tuesday evening in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 8, 2021, the life of 14-year-old Desmond Harrison was cut short by gun violence. The young Black or African American male was fatally shot in North Omaha, an event that was part of a distressing spike in violence that saw another shooting incident in the same area on the same day.
