On June 8, 2021, a tragic incident occurred in Omaha, Nebraska, resulting in the death of 14-year-old Desmond Harrison. The shooting took place just after 7 p.m. near 18th and Binney streets in north Omaha. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert of multiple gunshots in the area.
