On the day after Christmas in 2017, a holiday gathering in Omaha, Nebraska, turned into a scene of unimaginable violence, leaving 70-year-old John Dalton Sr., a Black male, and two of his family members dead. The tragic events unfolded at Dalton Sr.'s home where family had gathered. What should have been a festive time was shattered when his son, John Dalton Jr., arrived.
